Echoes of Rhodes

An excellent opportunity to visit the highlights of Rhodes Island in one day.

The guests will start their excursion at the historical Kallithea Thermes, famed for its spring water. The clients will have some free time to explore the place.

We continue the tour through a panoramic tour of Mandraki harbor where the guests have the opportunity to view the beauty of the historical port, and towards the hill of Monte Smith. The guests will have some time to take a beautiful photo memory, before we continue our way to the west at the ancient city of Kameiros. Houses with atriums, temples, altars and bases of statues are only a few of the remnants of this little “Pompeii” of Rhodes. Kameiros, along with Lindos and Ialyssos, were the first cities on the island. Afterwards guests will arrive at Apollona village, the small mountainous place in the heart of Rhodes, where we will visit a small traditional shop that the guests can taste the local spirit “Souma” and later taste some local wines in a family run winery. After that they have a free time for lunch at a traditional Greek tavern, where they can taste the amazing Greek “meze”.

We continue up into the mountain of Profitis Ilias for a coffee break and a photo stop, the place famous for 2 alpine hotels built in 1929, during the Italian occupation of the island and an abandoned villa built for Benito Mussolini.

As we continue driving, we will make a quick visit of the Fountoukli monastery, one of the most famous monasteries of Rhodes.

The tour will end at St Nektarios monastery parking.
