Description

4X4 with driver island tour excursion

There is no better way to see hidden parts of Zakynthos than a 4X4 safari.

Your Jeep guide/driver will pick you up from your resort and take you on an excursion of discovery. There are many historic and scenic stops en route, and you will hear all about the history, culture, churches, monasteries, and many other great facts about the island.

The first stop is the village Agia Marina. Here you have the opportunity for a short coffee break before heading to the small traditional village Giri, which is surrounded by a lush landscape with pine and olive trees. You will reach the highest point of Zakynthos Vrachionas by driving completely off road to enjoy the breathtaking view of the island. Continuing mostly off-road, we will pass by the oldest olive tree in Exo Chora and will arrive afterwards at another traditional village for a 1-hour lunch break (optional).  Next on the trip is the famous view over Smugglers' Bay. Take some pictures of this magnificent view. Driving up to the north of the island through the village of Vollimes, you will have the possibility to make a boat trip to the Blue Caves (optional, not included), or alternatively, you will visit the monastery Spiliotissa in Othonies and have a swim stop at Xigia beach. The last stop of the tour is a visit to an organic family farm. It is a farm with a variety of local handmade products waiting to be tested.

Around 17:00 will be the time of your return to your resort.
