Ancient Corinth half day tour

Site of Corinth, occupied from at least 6500 BC, excites every discerning traveler! 

Driving to Peloponnese, get a short stop to Corinth Canal, where you have time for photo shooting. The Corinth Canal is an artificial canal that connects the Aegean with Ionian Sea and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland.

Continue driving until Corinth ancient city ruins. Corinth, the well-known city-state of Ancient Greece, was one of the most important and largest cities of that time, with great history. The temple of Apollo adorned the old city and the market place, named Agora.

The city with the two ports, one on the Saronic and another on the Corinthian Gulf. Corinthians as an important trading power, used both ports as main trading stations, the one for Italy and Sicily and the other for the Eastern Mediterranean. 

St. Paul or Paul the Apostle, lived and preached for two years in the ancient city of Corinth during one of his missionary journeys. At your return back, get a short stop at the site of the Ancient port where St. Paul disembarked.
