Description
Argolis one day-the Royal Tombs - Mycenae - Nafplio with Lunch
Argolida, a regional unit located in the region of Peloponnese, is the wider area where the old city of Mycenae, the theater of Epidaurus and Nauplio are located.
The first short stop will take place to Corinth Canal, where you have time for photo shooting. The Corinth Canal is an artificial canal that connects the Aegean with Ionian Sea, and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland.
Our expert guides introduce you to Mycenae, one of the most important centers of Greek civilization inhabited from the Neolithic era. Mycenae has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List due to its historical importance and architecture. See the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls and the Royal Tombs or Treasury of Atreus.
Nauplio, a coastal city and fist capital of modern Greece, is the next stop. A city of great historical importance immediately charms visitors with its neoclassical buildings. Take photos at the Palamidi Fortress, built by the Venetians during their occupation, and Bourtzi castle, pretty much the town’s mascot.
Enjoy a typical traditional Greek meal consisting of pure ingredients.
