The walk begins at the foot of Doupiani rock, below the ancient ruins of the Pantokrator Monastery. It then crosses the immense rock formations to reach the northern side of Meteora. On this side you'll discover the hidden monastery of Ypapanti and the ruins of St Dimitrious. Listen to the stories and legends behind each site you pass along the way, as thousands of years of history come alive through the exciting narrative of our local mountain guides.
Visit the monasteries of Great Meteoron or Varlaam and then descend the ancient footpath used by monks for centuries before roads were built for the final part of this magnificent walk.
